The Dewy Look: How To Keep Your Skin Moisturized Underneath Makeup
Sabrina on instagram asks:
“I would like to see more videos on how to keep your skin hydrated and moist underneath makeup”
There is a basic formula to layering skin care products that will get you far:
First, prepare the skin. This means steam and wash, and use a toner. Please wipe the toner over the skin with a cotton pad. Misting is useless! (but refreshing) You need to remove any remaining debris left over from cleansing and take some dead skin on the pad too.
Thinnest to thickest.
The thinnest product, serums, have the smallest molecules and sink deep into the skin. Serums always go on first.
The thickest cream texture goes on last. How many layers is up to you and your skin type.
If you’re naturally dry as a prune you can layer a serum, gel moisturizer, more gel moisturizer, cream, then eye cream, and last but not least - oil to seal it all in. This is the ultimate moisturizing experience for the skin and makeup is sure to look smooth and hydrated on top.
